A Caring Mentor | A Good Book | A New Life

Amy Jobst, M.A.

Amy is originally from Chicago (arguably the best city in the world!) but moved to Indiana to attend Bethel College. She graduated from Bethel with a B.A. in Psychology in 2005. Amy worked for several years as a case manager for children and adolescents before returning to school. She earned her M.A. in Counseling at Ball State University in 2010. Upon returning to South Bend, Amy worked for the South Bend Community School Corporation as a Family & Community Specialist and began volunteering with Reading For Life. In 2012, Amy began working full-time at the St. Joseph County Juvenile Justice Center as the Assistant Director of the Youth Justice Project.

Reading is a treasured hobby for Amy. Among her favorite novels are The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas, Persuasion by Jane Austin, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows, all the Harry Potter novels, and Agatha Christie and Alan Bradley mysteries.
